General CBD Info

What is CBD?

CBD is a naturally occurring component of the hemp plant. It is one of the 113 cannabinoids that have been identified within the hemp plant. It is a non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid that offers a range of uses for every aspect of the body. It has been used in clinical studies for cognition, anxiety, pain, aches, acne and movement disorders as well as a host of other uses. CBD contains negligible amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the cannabinoid in the plant that gets you high. This means taking regulated, legit CBD products will not get you high and is completely legal. However, CBD is not a psychoactive substance and cannot cause addiction. Therefore, it can be successfully used to treat certain conditions, such as pain, without the risks to mental health.

Is CBD Legal?

CBD Is legal in the UK provided it contains less than 0.2% of the psychoactive cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The absence of THC means that it is legal to buy and consume in the UK. If the product contains over 0.2% THC, this means this product is illegal. Each batch of Just Be CBD products is analysed by laboratories to ensure that the THC Content is below the trace levels permitted (0.2%) before the product is offered for sale. However, laws change frequently, so please consult the specific laws regarding CBD in your country of residence.

What Is The Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a group of cannabinoid receptors located in the brain and throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems, consisting of neuromodulatory lipids and their receptors. There are two main types of receptors in the ECS, CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are primarily located in the central nervous system and brains of mammals, and CB2 are generally found in the peripheral nervous system. There are two main cannabinoids mammals produce- 2AG and Anandamide. The human body has a vast network of receptors, called the Endocannabinoid System. The purpose of this system is to help our body stay balanced and in good overall health, even when external factors and certain lifestyle choices diminish our wellbeing. CBD and other cannabinoids fit into the receptors of the Endocannabinoid System, helping the body complete its efforts to keep us in good health by supporting many of the body’s physical processes. Learn more about the Endocannabinoids System.

Will CBD Get Me High?

No. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) which is found in cannabis produces what many consider a “high,” or an altered state characterized by euphoria, pleasure, or heightened sensory perception, however CBD does NOT cause a high as it contains less than 0.2% THC. This isn’t enough to affect the body.

Topically- Cosmetics
Inhalable- Vaping E-Liquid
Consumables- Soft Gel Capsules
Sublingually (under the tongue)- Oral Drops (known as Tinctures)
We have a variety of flavours and strengths available. We recommend customers to read through our site to determine which product will be most suitable for their needs.

How Much Should I Take?

Every individual is different and there are a huge number of variables that will determine how our bodies can react to supplements. The amount you take will depend on your body and wellness goals. We recommend starting with a low dose and building up your intake slowly during the course of a few weeks until you find the dosage that best suits your needs. If in doubt, remember low and slow is best. Unfortunately, we cannot offer advice regarding CBD dosage. The dose is dependent on many factors such as weight, height, sex, specific condition, and pain intensity. The average dose is 3–4 drops, 3 times per day.

Is CBD Oil Suitable For Me and Will It Help My Condition?

Many regard CBD oil to be a worthwhile supplement; however, we cannot offer any health or medical advice regarding its use. We strongly encourage you to conduct your own research into the matter.

How Should I Store My CBD?

For the best results of prolonging your CBD product, please store in a cool dark place. Light, heat, and air exposure all play a part in the breakdown of natural cannabinoids like CBD, so it is important to defend against them. A kitchen cabinet or desk drawer fully meets these requirements. The temperature of the storage environment should be between 6–20°C.

Can I Keep Just Be CBD Oil In The Fridge?

Yes, CBD oil can be kept in the fridge for an extended period of time. Lower temperatures can affect the colour and viscosity of the product. There might be some precipitation (looks like flakes falling out of the oil), but it will go away when it is back at room temperature. There is no loss of potency, and it won’t damage the product.

Will I Fail A Drug Test?

Although our products always contain under 0.2% THC, we are never able to guarantee any results on a drug test and these products should always be taken at your own risk. This is due to a build up of THC within the body which can potentially show up on a drugs test. However, drug tests differ so it would be useful to know what testing method they’re using and what they are looking for. Take at your own risk as CBD can metabolise in a way that may show a false positive. There are some testing facilities that check for a spectrum of cannabinoids that could trigger a positive drug test. You can always contact the lab to verify what exactly will be tested.

Is Just Be CBD Oil Lab Tested?

Yes, we test and monitor Just Be CBD oil throughout its production process to ensure the utmost safety and quality. Results are verified by an independent third party organisation. You can find the analyses here.

What Kind Of Tests Do You Run On Your Products?

Each batch of our CBD is third-party lab tested and guaranteed to be free of contaminants like heavy metals, bacteria, microbial life, mycotoxins and pesticides.

Can CBD Help With Epileptic Seizures?

Unfortunately, we are legally not allowed to make any medical claims. However, there are a variety of high-quality articles on the subject available online. Thorough research is always recommended when dealing with a serious disease such as epilepsy, and we highly recommend that you consult your GP or medical practitioner when in doubt. In summer 2018, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first-ever oral CBD spray to treat two rare forms of severe epilepsy: Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

What’s The Difference Between Hemp Oil And CBD Oil?

The main difference between CBD oil and hemp oil is that hemp oil does not contain CBD. CBD and hemp oils are made from different parts of the plant and have different purposes. CBD is a compound found in industrial hemp. We utilise a whole plant CO2 extraction process that allows us to draw the CBD from the plant material and filter out unnatural substances, while maximising pure CBD concentration. While CBD is extracted from the entire plant, minus the seeds, hemp oil is extracted from the seeds. Hemp oil is made from pressing hemp seeds and is used in a variety of products. Hemp-seed oil is used as a protein supplement for food, as varnish for wood and is often used in hair and skin products.

How is the safety of your product guaranteed?

We guarantee the traceability and certification of the products throughout the production chain. We constantly analyse each batch of product in order to ensure that all the products comply with the legal limits (THC<0,2%) and that they do not contain substances that could make the product unsafe.

Vape and Hardware FAQS

Why Is My Device Bubbling When I Inhale?

If your device is making a bubbling sound and not drawing properly when inhaling, then it’s likely it needs a clean, needs its coil replacing or is low on e-liquid. You can separate the pod from the battery and clean the area with a cotton bud to absorb any excess e-liquid that has leaked onto these parts. These parts of the products need to be kept clean at all times as these are the main points of the conduction. When these are kept clean, a consistent connection allows you to have a good quality vaping experience. If the problem still persists even though your pod is filled with sufficient e-liquid levels, then it is likely you have a faulty QT pod or Amico pod which will need replacing.

I Can Taste Burning When I Vape

A burnt taste when vaping is likely caused to the coil being burnt out. It is recommended to change the coil after 5-7 refills to keep a consistent, good quality vaping experience. Using the coil after this recommended time will give you an inconsistent weak vape which may taste burnt. It is also recommended to separate and clean the conduction area with a cotton bud. Finally, ensure the pod is minimum half full with e-liquid. This is to ensure you don’t get a dry vape which can cause the coil to burn out when it hasn’t absorbed enough e-liquid.

My Pod Is Leaking?

If your QT device or Amico device is leaking, then you will need to clean the conduction area of the battery and pod with a cotton bud. If it continues to leak, then it’s likely it’s been dropped and the plastic pod has cracked. In this instance, you will need to buy a replacement.

Why Am I Not Getting Much Vapour?

If you are not getting much vapour, disconnect the pod from the battery and clean the conduction area of the battery and pod tissue/cotton bud dipped in unperfumed alcohol to remove any excess e-liquid and then click back together. If this does not resolve the issue, this could mean that the pod has come to the end of its lifespan and needs replacing or that the battery is low.

Difference Between PG and VG

There are two major ingredients found in e-liquid, VG and PG.The ratio of these ingredients makes a big difference to the vapour that is produced. Our Just Be CBD e-liquid range is High-PG, having a ratio of 70% PG to 30% VG. These e-liquids are to be used with the QT device and Amico device. The High-PG vaping experience is closer to that of a traditional cigarette. Just Be CBD uses only 1 PG and VG mix. Our CBD e-liquid range mix consists of 70% PG to 30% VG.

Why Should I Prime My Coil?

It is very important to make sure that your pod and its coil are primed with e-liquid before you attempt to vape. Priming is an easy process but an important one: a coil will be ruined in seconds and not be safe to use if it has not been properly primed. On first time use of a new coil, users should allow at least 2 minutes for the liquid to soak into the coil before attempting to vape. A few minutes patience will make a big difference to the quality of your vape. Do not let the pod run dry before refilling. The liquid level should always be above the beginning of the coil, but we advise you to keep the pod a minimum of half full at all times for the best quality vape. The device should be cleaned and maintained regularly to ensure he best quality vaping experience and to extend the life of your equipment. This advice applies to the QT Kit, QT Pods, Amico Kit and Amico Pods.

Can I Mix Flavours And Strengths?

All of the Just Be CBD e-liquids can be mixed together to get different flavour mixes and also to weaken/increase the strength if you are looking to move down/up to the next strength.

How Often Should I Change The Pod?

The QT pods and Amico pods should be changed after every 5-7 refills depending on how often the product is used. If you find you are not getting a good vapour after cleaning the pod and the e-liquid is becoming thicker and darker, this indicates that the pods needs changing.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: Mixing

Do not mix e-liquids with oral drops (tinctures) to vape. Oral Drops (tinctures) are NOT meant for inhalation. Do not use oral drops for anything except dropping under the tongue. Do not use e-liquid for anything other than vaping. Do not mix CBD e-liquid with Nicotine e-liquid and vape together.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: Charger

All products should ONLY be charged using compatible Jenson (our parent company) chargers. Each type of charger of any electrical product has a specific power output which is compatible with the battery inside. These chargers are manufactured to ensure that only the correct amount of power is supplied. Using any other chargers including USB chargers, mains chargers, car chargers, phone chargers and chargers from different brands can mean that an excessive amount of power is applied. This can be dangerous, unsafe and can cause damage to your product. Our devices should ONLY be charged using a Jenson Micro USB Lead with lead in a computer USB port or by mains power using the Jenson Mains Charger. If the device is charged using any other plug or adapter including phone chargers, this will damage the battery and cause the battery to deteriorate as power output will be too high. It is important that you are aware that charging your devices with any other USB charger or using the Jenson USB chargers in any other mains charger and adapters (including phone chargers) except from the Jenson Mains Charger can be extremely dangerous and will void any warranty on the product. Please read the charging instructions below carefully for your safety and to get the best results from your product. All products undergo exhaustive quality control and testing processes to meet certification requirements (our products are fully RoHS, CE and FCC compliant) and to ensure that our customers are able to enjoy our products at their best.
